People working in the construction industry are at high risk of being exposed to asbestos dust. It is important to know that asbestos is a dangerous substance that can cause serious diseases. If a material contains asbestos, it is usually necessary to take an asbestos test in order to obtain a safe response.
Falck has over 50 years of analytical experience in asbestos and has permission from the Swedish Work Environment Authority to handle and perform asbestos analysis/asbestos samples. We offer asbestos analysis for all types of workplaces and businesses.
How the asbestos test works
Depending on the material to be tested, the sample is taken as follows:
- Tiles, plastic carpet, wet room wallpaper and other similar materials: about 5 x 5 cm. Make sure that the sealing and grout, glue or similar are included.
- Pipe insulation and other powdery: 1 to 2 tablespoons.
- Window putty, sealing in ventilation ducts etcetera: about 5 to 10 cm.
Submit the sample
Place each sample in a separate and sealable plastic bag. The plastic bags are placed in a padded envelope and then you fill out the order form below.
The asbestos samples, together with the signed order form, are sent to AB Falck, The Laboratory; Box 1094, 164 25 Kista. Large packages are sent to the visiting address: Kistagången 16/Isafjordsgatan 22, 164 40 Kista.
Possibility to drop off in Stockholm and Linköping
The test can also be submitted directly to Falck in Kista, weekdays between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. For you as a customer in Östergötland, ordering and handing in samples can also be made to Falck in Linköping.
Test results
The test results are submitted within two working days of the test being received. Mark "Normal" on the order form.
If the test result is urgent, a response is given immediately when the test is received. Within 24 hours you will receive your reply.* Mark "At the minute" on the order form.
*On a few occasions per year, this service is not offered.
