Thermosetting Plastics
OrderThe statutory check-up complies with the legal requirements of AFS 2019:3, AFS 2011:19 and applies to employees who are exposed to or will be exposed to thermosetting plastics in their work. Before the service is ordered, a risk assessment needs to be carried out.
What it is
Medical Check-up - Thermosetting plastics is a health check-up done to reduce health risks associated with exposure to thermosetting plastics.
After the check-up, we will issue:
A certificate of service according to § 36, Appendix 5 for employees working with allergenic chemical products containing isocyanate, diisocyanate, acid anhydrides, ethyl cyanoacrylates and methyl cyanoacrylates.

Reply to medical check-up according to § 32, appendix 4 for employees working with allergenic chemical products classified as H317 or H334
Time interval
For employees who are exposed according to § 36:
- Before start of employment
- Three to six months after start of employment
- Then every second year
For employees who are exposed according to § 32:
- Before start of employment
- In case of health effects suspected to be due to exposure
The employer is responsible for ensuring that the medical check-up are done with the right periodicity.
How it works
- Order service
After ordered service, the employee is booked in for a visit and an invitation is sent. - Health declaration
The employee fills in a health declaration which is brought to the visit. - Visit
During the visit, the employee undergoes a medical examination and a lungh function test, so-called spirometry. - Feedback
Based on the medical check-up, a Certificate of service or Reply to medical check-up is sent to specified recipient via secure e-mail.
Information for employees
- Download the health declaration form, fill it in and bring it to the visit.
- Bring any previously issued certificate to the visit.
FAQ
What happens if I don't do a risk assessment before the check-up?
You should do a risk assessment before booking the service. This is to ensure that the check-up is done correctly, provides the right certificate and is not done unnecessarily. We do not check whether a risk assessment has been carried out or not, but book the service regardless.
Do you offer trainings for employees who work with allergenic chemical products?
Yes, we offer it both as an in-person training or as e-learning. You will find information about the offer here.
